How to get to Plzen
Plzen (Pilsen) is located in the West of the Czech republic. It's the fourth biggest city in the Czech republic.
Travelling by CAR
If you are traveling by car, you can go from Praha (Prague - 100 km East from Pilsen) on highway "D5". When you are going from Germany (border crossing Rozvadov - 80 km West from Pilsen), you can go also on highway "D5" from opposite direction. Quite a good road is also from Ceske Budejovice.
Travelling by AIRPLANE
Some players will travel by airplane. It means that they land in Prague, airport Ruzyne. Than you have to go to Pilsen. There are two possibilities - by bus or by train. I recommend travel by bus.
Travelling from Prague by BUS
There are many buses going from Prague to Pilsen. They are leaving every 15 minutes. The bus station in Prague is called Florenc. You can go there by metro (you have to buy ticket for 12 Kc, you can use the same one ticket for bus No. 119 and metro - it stands good for time interval) or by taxi (it isn't cheap - 500 Kc ?).
If you want to go by the metro from airport, you have first go by bus No. 119 to station Dejvicka (it's the end station of this bus, it takes 20 minutes). In the station Dejvicka there is metro, route A. You have to go by metro 4 stations (6 minutes) to station Mustek. Then you have to change for metro, route B, direction Cerny Most. By route B you have to go for 2 stations (3 minutes) to station Florenc. The travel by bus to Plzen takes 90 minutes, the cost is about 50 Kc.
In Pilsen you get out in the Central Bus Station. It's on the map at left side (let me say behind the left margin of the map, but very close). When you go out from the building of the bus station you have to go left. Than you go still straight on (the street Husova) till you see Hotel Slovan, it takes about 5 minutes.
